Three easy ways to lose a couple of pounds.
It's a regular fixture in sitcoms: Some girl has to fit a certain dress for the big party next weekend, but has to lose 4 pounds or so to fit it perfectly. Over the years I have been widely recognized as a bit of a fitness guru, and I will therefore share with you some weightloss methods I have picked up over the last month or so. I have seen people use some of them, and used one myself to great effect. The excess weight will literaly fly away from you.
You may also want to buy all of your meals at airports: at £4 for a hotdog or a stale tuna sandwich, your economy will help you keep that weight in check. Wednesday, July 25, 2007
Push me, and then shove me... So, the Benicassim festival was great fun, and even thou the weather was great, and the beer was relatively cheap, we managed to review more than a third of all the bands there. I can't be arsed to link to everything, but you should be able to find it here. Going back and forth was a bit of a nightmare, with massive delays, and Spanair managing to loose my bag on both ways. According to this article, which I wish I had read earlier, it has been a problem all summer. Absolutely scandalous. But since people apparently know about it now, it saves me the trouble of writing them the harshest letter ever. One of the hightlights of the festival was watching the Danish band Whomadewho play on the mainstage, and seemingly impress everybody. There is a blog that has their version of Satisfaction online. I have a long history of getting sick everytime I leave the country, or in fact the city, and I thought I gotten past that, but now I think I've gotten one of those travelling diseases. I won't go into details, but I feel like crap, and for some reason my ear is still clogged after the plainride. Balls! Monday, July 16, 2007
Is this love?
The weekend is coming to an end, and a pretty good time has been had. Friday night was spent watching Metallica in Aarhus, and no matter what reviewers said, I thought it was a pretty good show. Obviously there has been a lot of focus on the power outage, but really; who cares. The music was great, and they played with the usual energy. Pure nostalgia, yes, but still pretty frickin' good. The rest of the weekend has been all about relaxing at my parents' place, wayching Die Hards 1 and 2, A Mighty Wind, and Michael Rasmussen winning Tour de France (well, almost). I find it somewhat intriguing that both Anders and Stine have spent their time reading the same book. If that's not true love, I don't know what is. At some point they will undoubtedly morph into one person. Insert your own Andersine joke here... If watching Klan and Øgendahl tonight has taught me anything, it would be that comedy shows on tv aren't for everybody. What a bunch of crap. Finally, it seems that Julio Baptista is on his way to Galatasaray where he will team up with Tobias Linderoth. For some reason I think that's a bit more his skill level, than playing in Arsenal and Real Madrid. Good riddance, I say. If only Arsenal would start signing some players soon... When it rains it pours... So I'm back from Roskilde and as everybody probably knows, it rained quite a bit. People tell me it was the most rain ever at a Roskilde Festival, but for some reason i still remember 1997 as worse. Probably because i lived in the camping area back then. There was a great atmosphere this year, and for some reason I was in a great mood pretty much for the duration of the thing - even when my cellphone drowned and eventually died during the Killers show. When everybody else had gone home, I even went up to see Basement Jaxx alone, and have a little dance by myself. Some nice girl even gave me a couple of those sille glowsticks. I think the musical highlight must have been the Machine Head concert, even though there were many fine performances, and funny spectacles. Also I've taken the liberty of borrowing the picture from a gallery on www.gaffa.dk, because it's one of the better pictures ever taken of me. Finally, I think Steffen Jungersen has lost it completely, but more about that another time.
