Something about New Years Eve.

Just a quick note to wish everybody a happy new year.
It's been a relatively good year, and I have gone from being a student, to finishing my dissertation and becoming, well, nothing, or unemployed. Something to that effect, but not in an entirely bad way.
The blog celebrated its fouth anniversary this year, and is closing in on 30.000 hits. Updates have become less frequent, and the number of guests have been declining. But on the plus side a lot of new blogs have seen the light of day, such as Stephan's, Jones', and Peter's.
Anyhow, I hope you all have a good one. Remember to mix different types of alcohol for maximum hangover-effect tomorrow, keep your head down, chin up, and hands over the blanket.
And for once, would it hurt the Queen to trade her old catchphrase at the end her speach to "Keep on keeping on, and never ever stop rocking."
I think that would totally work...

So, a very merry Christmas was had, and on top of the excellent presents I got a digital camera from my parents, because I have officially passed my dissertation. Now I look forward to figuring out how to take proper pictures, and I imagine the old blog will suffer under those experiments during the next couple of weeks/months.
This is me trying to bring sexy back in front of the hallway mirror.

End of Year Lists, pt. II

It's time to come up with the best singles of the year. I haven't been listening to a lot of radio this year, so I've had a hard time coming up with any singles, but here is my top 10.

Top 10 Singles of 2006
  1. Muse: Starlight
  2. Wolfmother: The Joker and the Thief
  3. Spleen United: She Falls in love with Machines
  4. Muse: Knights of Cydonia
  5. Henrik Hall: Bibis Mund
  6. The Strokes: Juicebox
  7. Trivium: Detonation
  8. Iron Maiden: The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
  9. M. Ward: Chinese Translation
  10. Magtens Korridorer: Morgan
Secondly, here's one of the more obscure lists. Because I bought my Ipod this year, it's relatively easy to see which songs I have heard the most this year, so here's the list. I have, however, decided that every band only gets one entry, otherwise Plans by Death Cab would fill up most of the it. Anyhoo, here's the list of the ten songs, by individual artists, I have heard the most in 2006.

Ipod List 2006
  1. Death Cab For Cutie: Soul Meets Body
  2. Nine Black Alps: Not Everyone
  3. Walking Concert: Aluminum
  4. The Almighty: Crank and Deceit
  5. Spleen United: She Falls in Love with Machines
  6. Jimmy Eat World: Bleed American
  7. Alice in Chains: We Die Young
  8. The Arcade Fire: Rebellion (Lies)
  9. Elliott Smith: Waltz #2
  10. I Am Bones: The Ostrich Approach

So how's that for useless information? Feel free to emulate the lists, or make fun of my musical ignorance, as per usual.

When it comes to semi-celebrity gossip, this is really as good as it gets. Classic!

End of year lists, pt. 1.

Little known fact!: In the "blogosphere" it is punishable by death not to spend one's december nights making lists of what rocked and sucked in the past year. So we might as well get this show on the road.
I'll kick off with the top 10 best concerts of the year, and my top 7 of songs that were guilty pleasures this last year. I have to say that I'm not particularly proud of those, but honesty above all, and all that...

Best concerts 2006:
  1. Alice in Chains, Vega
  2. Death Cab for Cutie, Roskilde
  3. Henrik Hall, Musiccaféen
  4. Tool, Roskilde
  5. The Strokes, Roskilde
  6. Morrissey, Roskilde
  7. Trivium, Roskilde
  8. Sterling, Roskilde
  9. Fear Factory, Train
  10. Mercenay, Voxhall

Guilty Pleasures 2006

  1. Jokeren: Gravøl
  2. Lily Allen: LDN
  3. Christina Aguilera: Ain’t no other man
  4. Keane: Crystal Ball
  5. Kanye West: Touch the Sky
  6. Coldplay: The Hardest Part
  7. Peter Sommer: Man hamrer løs på en åben dør

Ok, now it's out there, and can't be taken back....

I still can't write in my own comments-thingy. How I've managed to get banned from my own comments is still beyond me, but that is why, for now, I'm not answering the comments. I'll have to look into that at some point.

On the plus side I'm glad to see that PTA is still alive, and blogging. His website is called Hiphop, The Simpsons and Wrestling. And that is pretty excatly what it's about too.
Between Pete, me and Jones, the good ol' AIH axxis of Evil are all now complete geeks.

It really was just a matter of time before Discoteque Goggen in Hadsten made the news. Having spent several weekends there in my teens, I can't say I'm too surprised. It's crazy stuff...

Is this really the best headline for the story about Klaus Bondam and his sexcapades?

Nogen vil synke en ekstra gang.
